Have the AV staff given up fighting the snow?

Kind of pointless to plow snow with winds predicted to go into the evening. Will just cover what is removed. Shame the plow broke down this weekend, they never were able to get down to pavement and the compacted ice/snow makes things very dicey when walking. I hope the board padded the budget a little to account for something unpredictable like this storm. I’m certain with overtime, the roof and gutter repairs, the tree damage etc., the dollar signs will be racking up. Maybe an insurance claim might be in order as they did in the last big storm.

The Village should do something extra special for the poor blokes that are sleeping on cots in the shop. It goes above and beyond the call. And I’m not talking about using Village funds. Blog mistress should start up a collection, I’d certainly donate.

On another topic altogether, why didn’t our blogger post my comment about the Restaurant Eve guy in negotiations to put a new restaurant in the Penrose Sq. building?

Someone just skiied down Barton Street at a decent clip! Saw them out my front window (with what little visibility I had).

Look out Vancouver!

AV guys were shoveling this a.m. I would happily donate to a thank-you fund.

Nice to see they finally got the Crier out yesterday.

Five tons of snow, nearly a week off from work, and someone still comments on the wittle newsletter. Good grief.

I would contribute to a "thank you" fund as well.

If you are digging out on Barton Street tomorrow, could you give #333 a little shovel help? I can't open my front or back door... Not sure when the AV guys will get back around. Thanks.

A neighbor of ours, Cesar, who lives at 16th St. + Edgewood, will dig your car out. Call: 571-501-4119. His daughter, Jessica, can set up a time with you. Expect to pay $40; it's worth every penny.

Hopefully Cesar doesn't just pile the snow on the car next to you like SOME people think is ok to do.
