Have you heard about Earth Hour?

Check out this snippet that I saw online:

Turn Off the Lights — Make a Difference!

What can you do to fight global warming? On Saturday, March 28 at 8:30 p.m. turn off your lights for one hour and send a powerful global message that you care enough about climate change to take action. Learn more at www.earthhour.org.

I don't do gimicks. Rather than doing something to make other people feel guilty about not participating, try actually reducing the energy you use daily... But that's me.

I was skeptical at first, too, as I don't use any electricity. And since I don't know anyone who is ill, I'm going to ask that all hospitals shut off all electricity. Since I don't use fuel, I'm going to ask that all vehicles stop running. Since I don't eat, grocery stores should shut down and food processing plants should stop -- and people who rely on fire for cooking and heating, well, I don't know how to punish them, exactly. Planes not flying Al Gore should be grounded, the world's citizenry should be forced to count polar bears and conpare the number to 1960, and the world "leaders" should be forced to tell me where the narest disignated "meet your fellow lemmings" cliff is. But that's just me.

Since mass equals energy, we should put a speed limit on light, and everything will be smaller.

The 4th round of March Madness isn't really the best time to try to do this. The first post is dead on, gimmicks...people have to start better researching their 'forwards' before touting things like this...or not buying gas on a certain day.
