Invasives Removal on Saturday

Message from Arlington Village:

The Environmental Resources Committee invites you to join friends and neighbors in removing harmful invasive plants from the ravine on Sat., Oct. 4, from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

We will meet on the Edgewood side of the ravine at 9:30 am and work until noon. Please dress to get dirty! We recommend long pants, long sleeves, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and mosquito spray. Hard work will be rewarded with pizza and refreshments. You may wish to bring your own reuseable water bottle.

We will build on the work of 12 intrepid volunteers who braved threats of rain on Saturday to remove Japanese stiltgrass, bush honeysuckle, English Ivy, and white mulberry. Twenty volunteers also made great progress at our August event and previous residents and committees have also doggedly furthered this ongoing community effort.
