Pool Open?

So...how was the pool this weekend. I got a couple emails that said the attendants were rude. People were also complaining that they didn't get their passes until the day before the pool opened. Other observations?

I didn't find the attendants to be at ALL "rude"--on the contrary, I thought they were very friendly, alert, and professional. I did see them question some kids who a. didn't have passes and b. weren't old enough to be there without an adult.

Sure, some passes arrived "just in time"--to be expected considering when the application requests came out.

I disagree that the attendants were rude. They were very friendly and were just trying to follow the rules. (Isn't it always like this at the beginning of the pool season?)

The passes came before the pool opened. Enough said.

I haven't been yet. Is the water warm?

Frankly, the lifeguards should be MORE vigilant and tell the kids to not run and yell. If the parents can't monitor their children, then we'll have to leave it up to the 18-20 year old lifeguards to to it.

I wish they were rude to the old guys in speedos - that is not the way for you to meet some of the single >45 yr old women that live in the village.

Your "sources" were wrong, everyone was nice and friendly.

No complaints and, thank God, no complainers.

And who cares if the pool passes arrived the day before opening...

Exactly how would it have changed your world, if you had the passes two weeks earlier?

Does anyone know what the hours are? I have been looking on the website and can't find them.

Thanks!

I don't think the lifeguards are 18-20. I need to tell myself they're at least 23. Thank you.

The hours are Monday 4-9 pm (bummer), T-Fr noon-9 pm, and Sat/Sun/Holidays 10 am-8 pm

The lifeguards are very nice and polite. They whistled at an idiot who dove in the pool (maybe he had a death wish...), enforced the break time and asked that people take a shower before entering the pool. Thank you for reminding people to use their common sense! (I guess in some circles, that might be considered rude....)

can we get a coke machine at the pool?

I thought the guards were great-- finally enforcing adult swim, keeping an eye on all the kids (from running/rough-housing, etc.), and checking passes. I know over the past few years they didn't check passes and non-residents/former residents were "crashing" on a regular basis. I just wish they had fixed the soda machine versus getting rid of it.
