This blog is dedicated to expressing Arlington Village residents' feelings about our community. It is a blog for the people and by the people. Please give updates on your committee meetings, problems with the community, security issues and of course the great reasons to live in "the village".

There was a fire at 1210 South Barton St. #320, around noon, Wednesday, 5/26.
There was an impressive response by Arlington County. A ladder truck put personnel on the roof while others went into the unit. I think the owner was home. A person (he) was near the front door and engaged verbally with the fire personnel.
There was a good bit of smoke and accompanying odor coming out of the front door. No flames were visable from the street. The action was over in about an hour. The front door was open to air out the rest of the day.
I do not have specifics on what actually occured.
I heard it was a dryer vent fire.
