Gate Guard at Pool
In the Crier it was announced that there would be a gate guard in addition to our 2 lifeguards. Every time I've gone to the pool I've only seen 2 people...is the 2nd lifeguard really the gate guard? Why can't we just put up "swim at your own risk" signs to get rid of this additional cost?

"Coffee may be hot" disclaimers on McDonalds cups really haven't stopped law suits. Would such a sign help us?
Because the insurance would cost the association exponentially more....
Well I’ll take a stab at this one. I think the reason we won’t do that is because our Village Board of Directors are doing what they’re supposed to be doing and following that often overlooked thing called “the law.” Now I’m not an attorney, nor do I play one on TV, but perhaps someone who is a reader of our beloved blog who is in fact versed in the law could opine on the County Code regarding swimming pools.
Click your old Aunt Pittypat for a copy of the code.
The pool is almost always empty so why are we spending more money to hire a third person to keep non-pool pass holders out. If one lifeguard is on the stand than the other can watch the door. I realize this will cut down on the nap time, but seems like a better use of AV dollars.
Ah, he/she is back. "The pool is always empty."
yea, when it's raining or closed.
