This blog is dedicated to expressing Arlington Village residents' feelings about our community. It is a blog for the people and by the people. Please give updates on your committee meetings, problems with the community, security issues and of course the great reasons to live in "the village".

Has anyone received their coupon books for 2009?
Resolutions--A couple of years ago, I resolved to see/do one new thing each month in DC that I'd never seen/done before. There's a lot of free stuff I never take advantage of. I went to museums I'd always "meant" to see, took a picnic to the Twilight Tattoo on the Ellipse and saw the National Cathedral for the 1st time. I recommend the cathedral in in the winter--the winter sun through the stained glass windows electrifies the interior!
It's an easy 4-season resolution. Think about it... you can ice skate in the winter, haunt eastern market in the summer, wander museums on rainy days and walk T. Roosevelt Island on sunny days.
I think that is a really great resolution. Thanks for posting it. I still haven't been in the Washington Monument and I've been here for years.
Hey... I'm wondering.. Does Arlington Village recycle Christmas Trees? Is there any way to find out if they do.. and if not.. can we ask them if they can. I know that the City of Arlington recycles trees between Jan 5-16th... and I'd like to make sure our trees go to the proper place. If someone knows... please respond to my comment. Thanks. Happy New Year!
