This blog is dedicated to expressing Arlington Village residents' feelings about our community. It is a blog for the people and by the people. Please give updates on your committee meetings, problems with the community, security issues and of course the great reasons to live in "the village".

It is true. Will be at owner's expense, not at Village expense.
Surprised no blog entry about the 25 mph flyer though.
I'm pretty sure that it's only *if* you wish to replace it. I replaced mine a while ago, and they said that was fine...
What 25 mph flyer?
About the 25 mph flyer...I understand the need to communicate this information and think its important, but the flyer was written very poorly. Very unprofessional, I'm surprised that it was even allowed to be sent to residents. I was appalled by the way it was written. Makes the Village look bad, really bad decision to send it out in that format.
I didn't get a flyer.
They're pink and posted by the trash cans if you want to see one.
I say let's just make Arlington Village an upscale gated community.
It seems as if we've had an influx of couples with young ones of late. While I understand their concern the speeding issue is something we've been dealing with for years. I know that some of the AV residents are guilty of this but people have to realize that this has become quite the short cut for the public. It also seems as if we are having more people park their cars on our property all day while they grab public transportation. Was this something a committee looked into a few years ago?
The flyer is from "Arlington Village Parents" it states that those of us here in "Village" who are not parents are driving too fast and reckless.
I think the flyer was an excellent idea. Frankly, I think we need speed humps in the Village. In a question to the one posting...what format should it have been sent in? You offer only complaints and no real solutions. You must not have children. As a parent, I think this is a VERY important issue.
As someone said, people cut through the Village--so I don't know that the flyer will be very effective.
As a human being without offspring, I'm also concerned about the speed demons.
Statistically speaking, parents with kids in their cars can be some of the worst drivers out there---distracted driving or rushing to get to that next kids related appointment. Who paid for these flyers to be printed up and posted? Hopefullly not the Village.
