Next on the list for blog topics!

Should the Board send out the agenda for the Board Meetings? Perhaps they could send it out on the AV Blast?

Or do you think there is a way to get the Board to tape the Board Meetings with a camera instead of just having a shotty tape recording?

How do you think AV can communicate with residents better?

I'd like to see the notes from the Board Meeting online as well as notes from the Committee Meetings. If people could read what was happening, I think they would want to be more engaged. You need something to peek their interest.

I requested a copy of the minutes form the last meeting a week ago have not yet received anything. I got a note saying they were being typed up and would be sent to me soon...A week to type up the minutes? I've sent 3 additional emails and not even gotten a reply. Getting the minutes from the Board or committee meetings on the web seems like it would be impossible. The Board is unfortunately a joke.

I don't think the Board is a joke. I don't necessarily agree with how things are run but they are volunteers.

I do think the AV management is a joke. You can never get an answer from the office. Or you get the wrong answer. They never follow up and you have to repeatedly ask for the simplest things. Next time you need something from the office cc the AV Board President. I'm sure you'll see a quicker turnaround.

Perhaps you are right - they are not a joke, as volunteers they do what they can...The decisions, or lack there of, is a bit frustrating to say the least. I'm giving up though. I'll pay my fees and do what I need to do for myself and my house - the rest I will stay out of.

Instead of whining about the Board, why don't each of you complainers join a commitee and be active in your community!

It's too easy to critize this, that and the other; instead get off your couch and get involved!

Thanks.

Howdy. I would like an email blast about upcoming board (s) discussions, just to be kept in the loop as to what's discussing.

Who's to say I'm not on a committee? I've never seen a "Karen" at a Board Meeting or Committee meeting.

Board minutes are available to view once they have been approved by the Board, usually at the next Board meeting. Draft notes are not made public because each Board member is given a chance to review and suggest changes to the notes prior to approval, to ensure the minutes accurately reflect what happened.

A short summary of what happened at each Board meeting is posted in the Crier after each Board meeting. This summary reports items where motions for action were taken are reported.

Once the minutes are approved, you can request a copy from the Village office. OR, you can wait until they are published on the Village web site. Unfortunately, that posting sometimes takes a while due to the fact that a VOLUNTEER has to find the time to post it.

When and if the Village signs up for a L&N web site, time for posting may be reduced.

I think it would be a good idea for the office to send out the agenda for the board meeting prior to the meeting via email.
