Arlington Village is full of Scrooges!

Yes...that's right...where is your holiday spirit? There is a holiday lighting contest on Monday and noone has any lights up. I'm not expecting a light show but maybe a candle or two in the windows...something?

I heard (and then saw)that the courtyard behind 1300 South Cleveland was decorated.

I don't know what the blogger is talking about. I walk my dog around AV and I saw one house that I think you can see from space. It's in the ravine across from the pool. It even has music.

Great. Rewarding people for wasting electricity and forcing more crap into the air.

What about a general festive decorating contest, instead?

It's not exactly rewarding people for being wasteful with energy...it is supposed to make the Village safer by putting more front lights on therefore rewarding everyone.

However, I understand the posters concerns. That's why I listed Arlington County's ideas for being more green during this time of year.

I really wish people would stop crying to be more "green" about every little thing.

Christmas lights, wasteful? Get a life.

I think anonymous (festive contest) misread the name of the post as "Arlington Village is full of Stooges," and was just trying to prove the point.

Are there really so many miserable people in Arlington Village?

"Get a life"

"I think anonymous (festive contest) misread the name of the post as "Arlington Village is full of Stooges"

Now who needs to get a life? (Or a ---- at least) People like you who need to post vicious comments on a community forum. Pathetic.

Miserable? Vicious? Pathetic? I don't get it. What are you talking about?
