Hooray we got the Crier on Friday!!! Plus Pool Survey...

Yes, it was only about 7 days late...but it is here. I agree with the poster from the other topic...it seemed strange that they couldn't get this edition out before the Meet the Candidates night. They didn't even put out an AV Blast. Hmm....do they not want the AV residents to meet their potential new Board Members?

Also, a paper survey for the pool? Why can't they put this online as well? Do you really care about 15 minutes of adult swim? Please post...I'm dying to hear more.

Yea, what up with that (getting Crier after meet and greet, and pool survey)?

The important pool questions are really:

Why do the 20somethings think they're such hot shit?

How hot are Serbian men on a scale of 1-10?

OK, so who are the "new" candidates? I'm new to these parts.

The "change" slate is Brandie Davis, Ryan Walker, Jodie Moxley, and Craig Freer. With the way AV operations have been run lately (i.e. late Criers, lack of staff oversight, etc.) I think we need some different folks on the board to represent our interests.

Everyone is new, other than Jan Kennemer and Ryan Walker (he was kicked off the board last year, I believe).

Ryan was removed from the board for missing meetings. Ms. Moxely pointed out during the meet the candidates that dispite his having been removed he was the most helpful person during her "issue" with board. He explained during the forum why he was unable to attend those meetings and ensured the folks gathered that he had made the time and was eager to redeem himself. With a new baby coming he wants to be an active part of the community he will be raising his family in. I for one thought the gentlemen who raised the question was a little harsh, considering he wasn't running for a position but merely pointing out the mistake of a volunteer.

I also don't think the Board even tried to help Ryan or were even sympathetic to what was going on in his life at the time.
